Background
I come to the field of psychotherapy with over twenty years experience helping couples, families, individuals and young adults navigate through life’s challenges: school, career, graduation, college, work, relationships, marriage, parenthood, pregnancy, post-partum depression and adjustment, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, addictions, PMS, perimenopause, menopause, lesbian and gay relationships and issues.
I have special experience in the transition from pregnancy to parenthood, post-partum adjustment for Mom including post-partum depression (PPD) which is often undiagnosed because many of its symptoms are confusing and often subtle and what would be expected with such a life change, including irritability, anxiety, inability to sleep, weight loss, weight gain, couples issues, needless worry to name a few. PPD ranging from mild to severe is highly treatable and too many women suffer needlessly.
I received clinical training at Mt. Zion Crisis Clinic and San Francisco City College as well as Bay Area Family Service Agencies. I have been in private practice for over twenty years and have also worked at a Women’s Health Clinic for a number of years.
